Chelsea vs Arsenal: Individual Player Statistics 0

On the basis that nobody really had Arsenal winning that game, their 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge felt relatively respectable.  They didn’t create anything but, searching for positives, they were defensively far smarter than they were in this fixture last year and Chelsea did at least have to grind their way to the three points.

Still, this was very impressive from Jose Mourinho’s team and - tedious touchline shenanigans aside - it was another very successful day.

Here are the stats:

- Kieran Gibbs had 93 touches, more than any other player.

- Five players recorded a game-high 5 shots (Hazard, Cazorla, Wilshere, Chambers, Podolski).

- Arsenal failed to hit the target at any point.

- Calum Chambers completed 92% of his passes, the most in the game.

- Branislav Ivanovic won twice as many aerial-duels as any other player (8).

- Ivanovic also led the game in tackles (7).

- Ivanovic and Laurent Koscielny each made a game-high 4 interceptions.

- And Ivanovic - again - led the game with 8 defensive-clearances.
