Fantasy Picks: Adam Lallana (Southampton) 2

If you’re a regular reader of this site, then you’ll know my feelings on Adam Lallana being shunned by Roy Hodgson at the moment; the Southampton player is arguably the best-performing English winger in the country, and yet international recognition has not been forthcoming.

On Saturday evening, Fulham travel to St Mary’s to face Mauricio Pochettino’s increasingly impressive side, who will surely be pulsating with confidence after their excellent start to the season and, most recently, their well-deserved point at Old Trafford. Fulham may well have won on Monday night, but while those three points were undeniably deserved, it would be hard to make a case for saying that beating the current Crystal Palace side represents much of anything.

Beyond Dejan Lovren and Artur Boruc, Lallana is his side’s top-performing player in fantasy football this year (44 points) and with his rich vein of form and his side’s new-found solidity, why bet against him picking up at least an assist and a clean-sheet bonus? The twenty-five years old has scored 2 and assisted 2 in eight games, whilst also averaging the creation of more goal-scoring opportunities than any other Southampton player (2.3/game).

Yours for just £6.2m.
